Sunday Post #1

Blue Wood

Happy Sunday my book dragons! I hope you’ve all devoured some great books! I’ve been experimenting with some weekly memes, and today I’m doing the Sunday Post! The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly at the Caffeinated Reviewer, and it is a blog news post! I’m really excited to give this a go, so let’s begin!

Daily Life

I’ve been enjoying a mix of some gloomy and sunny days. I love the sun because the light makes everything look more beautiful, but I am not a fan of the heat (I’m so pale I basically sparkle). I also had a bit of an incident that sent me to the doctors – it turns out I sprained my finger (which means I either over extended or tore a ligament), and have to keep it wrapped and iced for a few weeks. This hasn’t affected my determination to write however! As promised on Twitter, I’m still binge watching Vampire Diaries. I’m almost to the end of season 3. Later this week I will be going to Orientation at the university I’ll be attending in the fall. I’ll be gone for several days, but I’m excited to be experiencing the campus.

Last Week on my blog:

I released a book review on Beastly Bones. This is the second book in the Jackaby series, and I gave it a 3/5.

I also announced my intention of starting a series discussing subscription book boxes! I’ve been toying around with this idea for a while now, and am really excited about it!

Next Week on my blog:

I’ll be discussing my opinion on the phrase “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” – both as intended and literally.

I may also be doing an award post 😉 I haven’t fully decided if I wanted to post it next week or not.

Books I’m reading or planning to read next:

The Afterlife of Walter AugustusIn Fallen WoodsKingdom of Ash and Soot (The Order of the Crystal Daggers, #1)

The Afterlife of Walter Augustus by Hannah Lynn

In Fallen Woods by Rebecca Merle

Kingdom of Ash and Soot by C.S. Johnson

I’ve started on the first one and plan to read the second two, but with my work schedule and some life events it’s been difficult to read more than one at the moment. I’m thoroughly enjoying The Afterlife of Walter Augustus though, and have high hopes for the other two!

That’s all on this Sunday post! I love the freedom to play around and include what I want! Has anyone else done a Sunday post? Please feel free to leave a link, I’d love to read them!! Have a great week everyone!

Good Hunting!

  1. Ooh I hope your finger feels better soon, and that you can still write okay!! I don’t like the heat either, but the sun does make it easier to enjoy things sometimes. 🙂 I love how your upcoming reads are all blue. 🙂
