Happy Sunday my book dragons! I hope everyone is doing well and discovered some new treasures! I’m back this week with another Sunday Post! The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly at the Caffeinated Reviewer! I recently did my first one a few weeks back, and loved it so much I decided to do it again! Let’s dive in!
Daily Life
I just returned from an orientation trip to the university I’ll be attending in the fall. It ended up being more fun than I initially expected. I’m starting to feel really excited about attending! After returning, it was the 4th of July. I stuck to just spending time with my family, baking an apple crisp and watching some fireworks. I also recently signed up to be an Amazon Affiliate! I’ll be figuring out how to start including links to the books I discuss for anyone who is interested in checking them out! (Note: This post does contain affiliate links) At the moment though, I’m outside enjoying the beautiful sunny weather and hoping to get a small tan!
Last Week on my blog:
These last few weeks on my blog, I posted:
- An opinion post on where the phrase “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” came from, and why I actually DO judge books by their covers.
- I was nominated for this one twice, and answered both sets of questions. In it you can learn a little bit about me, like which celebrity I’d meet, where I want to travel, and the craziest dream I’ve ever had (and much more!)
Next Week on my blog:
I don’t really keep to much of a schedule, and am mostly a mood writer, so I’m always hesitant to discuss my blog plans. What I CAN tell y’all is that I’ll be continuing my book box subscription series posts, discussing some podcasts and potentially be doing some tags in the upcoming weeks!
Books I’m reading or planning to read next:
The Afterlife of Walter Augustus by Hannah Lynn
Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck
I’ve figured out that I can’t read more than two books at a time, or else i start feeling overwhelmed. I’ve been desperately wanting to reread the Tiger’s Curse series for a little bit now, and am almost through the first book! I am also participating in a blog tour for The Afterlife of Walter Augustus, and am thoroughly enjoying it thus far! And though I’m not reading it yet, I did get a copy of My Plain Jane and can’t WAIT to dig into it!
Funny Life of a Bookworm
An adaption from the Sunday Post’s “Random” section, I’ve decided to start including random quotes, pictures, comics, etc, that I save to my Pinterest board called “Funny Life of a Bookworm”
That’s it for this week! How is everyone else doing? And what books are y’all reading? I’d love to hear about everyone’s week, and hope you all have a lovely Sunday.
Good Hunting!
Your 4th of july sounded very chill and relaxing (apple crisp YUMMY!!) Mine was too! I prefer it that was. I’m so glad to hear you had a great time exploring your university and that you can’t wait to start! What you majoring in btw?
The books you have planned out to read look great! I wish I could read 2 at once! Lol loved this! Happy Sunday 😄😄

Wow that’s so good that they are doing orientation so early on, gives you a good chance to get comfortable in the University environment! I feel the exact same way, I can’t read more than 2, maybe 3 max at a time because I start to feel to much pressure. I really wanna read the first book in the Jane series, I heard it’s really good 😀

It sounds like you had fun at orientation. I had a chill 4th, too. Just food and fireworks. Have a good week!

Glad you had a great orientation! 4th of July here was pretty low key too, but that was kinda nice. Besides the neighbors had enough fireworks that it was like the 4th of July for three days in a row lol.
I love that cover of the Tiger’s Curse!
