A Magical Character or Book.
The Perfect Book to Read at Night.
Lately I’ve been reading An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir at night. I hate reading horrors or thrillers at night, but this suspenseful dystopian fantasy is perfect for reading at night.
A Book that Truly Shocked You.
No spoilers, but there were a few parts of Days of Blood and Starlight that shocked me with its plot twists. It is very hard to surprise me because I can usually guess the plot, so it impressed me that it took me by surprise.
A Dark, Evil Character.
There are so many to pick from but the first one that came to mind was Umbridge from Harry Potter. That woman was pure concentrated EVIL.
A Character that Should Never Have Died.
Another Harry Potter character, Remus Lupin. His death absolutely devastated me, he didn’t deserve to die. His life was so hard but he finally had love and a child, and he just DIES?! I cried so hard and wish he (and Tonks) had been spared.
A Book that Made You “Hungry” for More.
Virals by Kathy Reichs hands down. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the books in the series. Tory was an amazing main character and I couldn’t wait to see what adventures Tory and her band of friends went on next.
A Character that You Would Protect at All Cost.
Kishan from the Tiger’s Curse series. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for him.
A Book that Sucked the Life Out of You.
Paper Towns by John Green. I was dragging myself painfully through the story, and every chapter left me exhausted.
A Book that Still Haunts You.
Dancing on the Edge by Han Nolan. This book was…so impactful. So haunting. I reread it several times growing up, and Miracle’s story has stuck with me all these years.
A Book that Really Scared You.
I stay away from scary books, not going to lie. But I tried to read It by Stephen King, and couldn’t make it through the entire book. I couldn’t even watch the full movie! I’ve never looked at clowns the same since.
A Character You Have a Bone to Pick With.
Daisy from Turtles All the Way Down. I need to have some words with this character, I was furious with her. I detested her and found her actions inexcusable.
Curious what she did that made me so angry? Check out my review here. (Spoilers included)
A Book You Would Preserve Throughout Time.
It’s already well on its way, but Harry Potter! It’s already a phenomenal hit, and one of my absolute favorite book series.
A Cover too Scary to Look At.
The Monster Mash
It’s Fun to Be with Friends on Halloween!
