Happy December everyone! This month, I will be participating in Bookending Winter, but I am also *drumroll* a host and have four holiday prompts/discussions for all you lovely elves! *Commence happy dance* I will be hosting from the 11th – 14th so keep an eye out for some holiday inspired fun!
What exactly is Bookending Winter? Below is a direct quote from the hosts! To find out more information such as the guidelines, how to sign up and the different hosts and their prompts, go check out Sam from Fictionally Sam or Clo from Book Dragons (Go look at their beautiful blogs and read some of their awesome content and give those fabulous bloggers some love!)
Bookending Winter is one of the quarterly events, running under the umbrella term “Bookend Events”, aspiring to bring the book blogging community closer together! Bookending Winter has a vague theme of Christmas/Winter, but you don’t need to stick to this theme at all! This year we’re joining forces with Amy @ Little Booknerds In The Corner to bring you the 12 Reads Of Christmas Readathon as a seasonal add on!
I have been tagged by this weeks host, Anthony at Keep Reading Forward, to do the Christmas Characters Tag (he also did the great image at the top as well)!!!

Santa Clause
A Gift You Received or Want This Year
It’s hard for me to answer this because some of my favorite presents have been experiences and not items – going on trips with family, sightseeing, hiking and general exploring and bonding. It sometimes makes it hard for people to get me gifts, because I don’t know what I want myself! Books is always a safe bet though!
Mrs. Clause
A Favorite Holiday Treat to Have Every Year
My family has many traditional treats this time of year that I always look forward to, but my favorite would have to be peanut butter fudge. I could make it any time but I usually wait until the Holidays and its one of my absolute favorite treats!
Ghost of Christmas Past
A Holiday Memory from Your Past
Its so hard to pick just one – the one that comes to mind is the year I first read/watched The Polar Express, “Santa” left me a little bell and my parents acted like they couldn’t hear it ringing like in the book/movie. Looking back I knew they were acting but when I was younger it was practically magic. They kept it up for a few years and still have the bell to this day.
Buddy the Elf
“The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.”
A Holiday Song You like to Sing Each Holiday Season
One of my favorite Holiday songs to sing is Rockin Around the Christmas Tree.
Misfit Toys
An Unpopular Toy You Really Wanted to Get One Year
I can’t really think of anything really – even as a kid I never really wanted any sort of toy. I was always content with my books and the outdoors
Grinch
A Moment When Your Heart Grew Three Sizes
I don’t think there was really a stand-out moment for me. In general this time of year makes me just extremely happy.
Jack Frost
A Tradition You Like to Do Every Winter
Theres so many – picking out the Christmas tree with my dad, baking cookies and other goodies with my mom, watching holiday movies (or Harry Potter!), decorating the tree. I love it all!
Hero Boy
A Moment You Believed in a Holiday Wish/Miracle
….I don’t really believe in holiday miracles….but I think they make for great movies?
Cindy Lou Who
A Favorite Holiday Tradition
Waking up in the morning and eating sausage balls and drinking coffee and opening presents in our pajamas.
Frosty the Snowman
A Memory Involving Snow or A Memory You Would Like to Have Involving Snow
I love it every time it snows – I remember running out and making a snowman every time I got a chance and the snow was thick enough. Even a year or two ago, it was maybe 8 or 9 at night and super dark and I ran outside and made a snowman and made patterns in the snow for fun. Old habits die hard! I’m still looking for my chance to do it again this year!
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
A Holiday Activity You Like Doing
I love watching Elf with my parents, its a holiday classic we all love and is just a funny and wholesome family movie.
Ebenezer Scrooge
“Bah, Humbug!”
A Favorite Holiday Saying or Quote
“Maybe Christmas,” the Grinch thought, “doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas …perhaps… means a little bit more.” – Dr. Seuss
Spread the Holiday Spirit!

Good Hunting!!!
This post is part of the Bookending Winter 2018 event, hosted by Clo @ Book Dragons and Sam @ Fictionally Sam. Today’s prompt comes from Anthony @ Reading Forward.
I love fudge but am not so much a fan of peanut butter! (And I am pretty sure my mom is getting peanut butter fudge for Christmas this year….) :p

Regular fudge is great too but I have a soft spot for peanut butter fudge 😄 fudge in general is just delightful. Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve never had vanilla before but think that sounds great and would love to try it!

I am with you 1000% about my favorite gifts being experiences! I would hands-down prefer something than an item to hang onto personally.
Thank you so much for the tag!

I’m glad I’m not alone! I felt a little weird writing that part at first but I can never think of like anything material wise I want; the experiences/memories are often the most touching gifts to me. I can’t wait to see your answers!

Okay so my heart grew three times the huge size it already is with the bell story! ❤ Like 10/10 would recommend. 😀 And I so agree with you on experiences being my favorite type of gift! It's the memories! ❤

Thanks Sam! I totally recommend it as well, I want to try it in the future 🙂 It really is the experiences/memories that are the best and most touching gifts of all
