“Books are a uniquely portable magic”
– Stephen King
How amazing is it that books exist? Little bundles of words with the power to transport us to wonderful worlds and allow us to live a variety of lives. This wonderful magic is what draws people in time and time again, and it is my mission to discover as many of these treasures as possible.
My name is Julia and I’m the creator of this nifty little blog, Fable Hunter. I consider myself a hunter, but not in the traditional way. My choice of prey is novels. I love finding new books to read and I have decided to share this love by creating Fable Hunter. I’m so excited to begin this adventure into the literature world! I’ll be posting all my book experiences within the form of reviews and discussions as well as a variety of book related topics. Honesty is important to me, and I do plan on reporting failed discoveries as well as the epic captures! I’ll also be posting other things that are book related – I’m learning as I go and hope all my fellow book enthusiasts will forgive me for random book memes and rants.
You might be curious to learn a little about me. I’m an animal lover, coffee and tea addict and nature enthusiast as well as a bibliophile. I’m also an aspiring blog writer (*cough*). I love spending my weekends curled up with my pet cat reading, watching Netflix, raiding the library or hiking.
When it comes to books, I read all genres but have a soft spot for classical literature and fantasy. Some of my favorite books are the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, the Tiger’s Curse series by Colleen Houck, the Inkspell series by Cornelia Funke, the Die For Me series by Amy Plum and The Wolves of Mercy Falls series (Shiver) by Maggie Stiefvater (yes I keep saying series because I honestly can’t pick just ONE of them!) This is just the short list of my long time favorite books – there are so many others I could just absolutely rave about, and lucky for me, I now have a place I can do it!
I can’t wait to have you dive in to new worlds and get to know new characters with me and hope to hear from all of you lovely people soon! You can follow me via email, or through my social media links at the bottom of the page to Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Goodreads.
