In my previous post, The 4 Things I did to Break My Writer's Block, I mentioned that I reread books as part of getting out of my writing slump. Die for Me was one of the books I decided to try rereading. I first read this book around the beginning of high school and absolutely adored it. I was curious to see if my opinion of the book had changed over the years, or if I still thought it was amazing. When I first read this book, years ago, I would have given it 5 stars and a full on fangirl rant. After rereading it however, I found that it didn't exactly match with my memory.
Hi my lovely book dragons! It has been a minute since I last posted. I ended up experiencing a bit of a writing slump. Between my blog, my personal writing and my academic writing, I just became exhausted and slammed up against a wall.
This book series is absolutely blowing me away. When I reviewed Throne of Glass (which you can find the review of here), I had a million thoughts running through my head. I was lost for words for a good couple of weeks. I wish I was kidding. I figured reviewing the rest of the series would be easier. I was wrong. So very wrong.
I've mentioned my love of Colleen Houck's book series, Tiger's Curse, on my blog before (you can find the post here). I absolutely adored this series and I still reread the series to this day. I was practically ecstatic when I heard she came out with another series and rushed to get my hands on a library copy.
Hello my lovely book dragons, and happy Monday! Today, I have the amazing pleasure of announcing that I am collaborating with Alice at DIYerfy to bring you a book giveaway!!! This isn't just any book giveaway though - not only are we giving away TWO books, but we're giving away COLLECTORS EDITIONS!!!
Happy January everyone! This is my first post of the new year and I'm so excited!!! What better way to kick off 2019 than with a giant review on one of my favorite book series, Virals! This series is by Kathy Reichs, author of the famous Bones book series (and TV show), and her son Brendan Reichs, author of Nemesis.
Wow. Just. Wow. I'm a little late to the game in picking up and reading this book and boy did I not know what I was missing! This is going to be a longer review than usual because I just have so much to say! Don't worry though, I'll include a quick summary at the end if you want to skip ahead to that instead!
So I have a confession - I am horrible at keeping up with tags and awards. I know, I know! It is absolutely horrendous of me and I am so sorry. However, I hope I can be partially forgiven by doing the Entertaining Blogger Award today!
Kingdom of Ash and Soot is the perfect blend of historical fiction, fantasy and a unique Cinderella retelling. I had some mixed feelings when reading this book, but overall I enjoyed it and am curious to read the next book in the series to see how Eleanora's story continues.
With the approach to Halloween, I've thought more and more about some of my favorite (and least favorite) monsters and ghouls. Lucky for me, I have an excuse through this blogoween prompt to discuss my favorite type of monster - werewolves.
