I read this book several months ago (which was a bit behind the bandwagon even then) and had a rough review written and accidentally forgot to publish it! Oops! But finally I present to you all my book review of Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda!!!
In my previous post, The 4 Things I did to Break My Writer's Block, I mentioned that I reread books as part of getting out of my writing slump. Die for Me was one of the books I decided to try rereading. I first read this book around the beginning of high school and absolutely adored it. I was curious to see if my opinion of the book had changed over the years, or if I still thought it was amazing. When I first read this book, years ago, I would have given it 5 stars and a full on fangirl rant. After rereading it however, I found that it didn't exactly match with my memory.
Peas, Carrots and an Aston Martin isn't the genre of book I normally go for, but after reading Hannah Lynn's last book, The Afterlife of Walter Augustus, I really wanted to give this book a shot. I really enjoyed it! Though I don't fall in her target audience, I still found the story funny, compelling and a pure joy to read!
My Review: Warning - Rave ahead I absolutely LOVED this book! It was full of spirit, personality, fun and witty banter as well as mystery and creatures of lore. I’m at a loss as to where to begin: the amazing characters, fantastic plot or the downright brilliant writing.
Ever the Hunted. Ever the Wonderful. Ever the Predictable? I am swirling in thoughts, emotions and clashing opinions after finishing this book. Let's delve in.
