FANGS by Sarah Andersen is a little bit of a change of pace from my previous reviews but nonetheless still falls into fantasy (can you all guess what my genre preferences are?).
I read this book several months ago (which was a bit behind the bandwagon even then) and had a rough review written and accidentally forgot to publish it! Oops! But finally I present to you all my book review of Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda!!!
I've mentioned my love of Colleen Houck's book series, Tiger's Curse, on my blog before (you can find the post here). I absolutely adored this series and I still reread the series to this day. I was practically ecstatic when I heard she came out with another series and rushed to get my hands on a library copy.
Wow. Just. Wow. I'm a little late to the game in picking up and reading this book and boy did I not know what I was missing! This is going to be a longer review than usual because I just have so much to say! Don't worry though, I'll include a quick summary at the end if you want to skip ahead to that instead!
Kingdom of Ash and Soot is the perfect blend of historical fiction, fantasy and a unique Cinderella retelling. I had some mixed feelings when reading this book, but overall I enjoyed it and am curious to read the next book in the series to see how Eleanora's story continues.
Most people know the phrase “you can’t judge a book by its cover” I feel like this is an important life message to people. But where did this oh-so-popular and impactful phrase originate?
Ever the Hunted. Ever the Wonderful. Ever the Predictable? I am swirling in thoughts, emotions and clashing opinions after finishing this book. Let's delve in.
I thought it would be fun to discuss one of my absolute favorite book series... Tiger's Curse series by Colleen Houck.
