Hi all! Sorry for being gone for a bit, I’ve been swamped with school work; it’s my finals week. I’m so close to the finish line!!! Just because I’ve been busy doesn’t mean I haven’t been reading (…though it has mainly been textbooks…) and I decided to try out the WWW Wednesday meme! This meme has been revived by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.
In this meme, I’ll be answering three simple questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Let’s begin!
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading two books. I recently (and by recently, I mean this afternoon) started reading Ghostly Echoes by William Ritter. Since I’ve barely started, I don’t really have much to say, except that I’m curious to see what direction the book will go. It is the 3rd book in the Jackaby series. You can find my review of Jackaby, book one of the series, here. The second book I’m reading is The Fundamentals of Ethics by Russ Shafer-Landau. As you’ve probably guessed, this is my textbook for my philosophy class, if anyone was interested. No? Don’t worry, no hard feelings if not.
What did you recently finish reading?
I just finished Beastly Bones by William Ritter, the 2nd book in the Jackaby series. I finished reading this book last night, I couldn’t wait until morning to read the ending!! I plan to write and release a review sometime soon, so keep an eye out for it! I thought it was a decent read, but didn’t enjoy it as much as Jackaby. I felt like the ending saved it, but wasn’t super thrilled by the book as a whole.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I received several book review requests that I plan to tackle. I think I will begin with In Fallen Woods by R.N. Merle The synopsis has captured my interest and imagination, and I’m very eager to dive in. Can we talk about this cover as well? Blue is my favorite color, and I love how simple but striking it is!! The opposing elements of the bare branches and blooming flowers is fantastic, and well balanced. I’m a little in love with the cover, if you couldn’t tell, and have a lot of hope I’ll enjoy the story.
That’s all y’all! I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. Please feel free to comment with your answers, and let me know what you think of this meme! I think I want to start incorporating it as a means of a weekly update. Have a lovely day (or night)!
Good Hunting!
I can see why you love that cover! The way the title stands among the leaves and the branches makes it look really stylish.

Thank you! I would recommend the first Jackaby book, you can find my review of it on my blog or linked to my post (it’s spoiler free I promise). It was a fantastic read and one of my favorites this year
